Simucube 2 Pro is a direct drive sim racing wheelbase widely regarded as a defining reference point in the direct drive category, used by many professional racing drivers across the world. It delivers 25 Nm of peak torque with no cogging or torque ripple, through a 22-bit absolute angle sensor for precise wheel position tracking. A key differentiator is its torque slew rate (how quickly the motor can change output force) rated at up to 8.0 Nm/ms and adjustable from 1 to 8.0 Nm/ms. This defines how sharp and immediate force feedback transitions feel, directly affecting how clearly effects like curb strikes or sudden traction loss are communicated to the driver. It runs on Simucube True Drive software, with slew rate, friction, damping, inertia, and torque reconstruction filters configurable per car and per simulator, along with static force reduction. Wireless wheel support is available. The wheelbase measures 130 × 130 × 270mm and weighs 11.1 kg, running on a 450W peak power supply. Wheel mounting uses the Simucube SQR quick release (4× M8 threaded holes, 145mm bolt pattern), compatible with a wide range of aftermarket wheels; the Quick Release side parts are sold separately.
