1. Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Topsplitters platform — buyers, sellers, and visitors. Topsplitters, Inc. is the data controller responsible for your personal information.

3. How we use it
We use your data to operate the platform and process transactions, verify your identity and prevent fraud, handle disputes and provide customer support, send transactional emails, improve the platform through analytics, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-party services
We work with a small number of trusted service providers: Stripe for payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant), Google Analytics for anonymised usage analytics, and an email service provider for transactional emails. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only as necessary.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences, and analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
6. Your rights

7. California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any sale (we don't sell data, but we acknowledge this right). Contact us to exercise any CCPA rights.
8. Children's privacy
Topsplitters is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately.
9. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for 7 years for legal and financial compliance purposes. You may request deletion of non-essential data at any time.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is 100% secure — if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
