DDU5 is a standalone dashboard display manufactured by BavarianSimTec in Bavaria, Germany, using a CNC-machined 6061 aluminum housing protected by Gorilla Glass. It uses a 5-inch LCD display running at 800×480 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 350-lumen brightness. The display is surrounded by 18 configurable RGB LEDs in a 3-12-3 layout — the top 12 function as a rev light strip, with the side clusters used for flag, ABS, or traction control indicators. It mounts via the included MagicArm system, with 360° positioning and compatibility with standard aluminum cockpit profiles, plus Asetek mounting extensions. It connects via USB-C and runs on SimHub, compatible with major wheelbase ecosystems including Asetek, Simucube, MOZA, Simagic, Fanatec, and VRS. It can also be paired with BavarianSimTec's BeaconLights for additional signaling.
